Bill Wordsworth, aside from having a name oddly befitting an author, is known for one thing and one thing only: having coined the phrase "emotion recollected in tranquility." That's what writing's supposed to be: emotion recollected in tranquility.
I cannot relate at all. In fact, I'm nothing like William Wordsworth. To me, writing is a very elaborate form of lying and readers are the rubes. (Can you spot the lie on this page?). All my poetry is on one page. This is a 100% true story. It's flawed, though, and I would like to hear what you think.(1995) Published in the very very first "Caffiene" magazine, December 1992. It's based on 100% fictional events. Here's a very short little fairy tale involving cutesy animals. (1996) A horrible story -- and my latest completed work. (1997) Published in "Inklings" (Denver) in 1995. A sexy romp through the countryside. Don't read this. It's too private. This is one of my very first short stories, and probably my only attempt at straight horror. (1988) You are in the "Art" Section, featuring my short fiction and poetry. Click on "Religion" to read segments of my upcoming book "How to Become a Non-Christian" as well as some essays and silly other stuff. Click on "Politics" to read some of my correspondence to President Clinton, which probably more people have read on the web than read in the tiny paper in which they were published. Click on "Sex" if you are a dirty pervert. |
