re: Good job, Mr. President!

Mr. President, Bill, Sir,
I am an avid reader of the Los Angeles Times, and I love how they make you look! A recent Sunday paper talked about how a bomb was detonated by terrorist groups at an American military compound in Saudi Arabia, in an attempt to kill innocent American soldiers. I can hear those terrorists now ... they were probably yelling, "Death to Americans! Death to the President!"
But they don't know what they are up against, do they? No they don't! Because YOU, Mr. President, asked for a FULL ASSESSMENT of the attack. Not a "partial" assessment, not a full "haphazard guess" ... but a full assessment. And you even appointed a retired General to do it! That was an especially good move, since I'm sure all the PAID generals are pretty busy. Besides everyone knows that a volunteer's work is a labor of love. I'm sure Ret. Gen. Wayne Downing is going to get to the "bottom line" of his mission "ASAP"! (I love military jargon -- it's such a gas!)
I was thinking it would have been really great if the L.A. Times had printed your picture next to your article (front page! good job!). Perhaps a picture of you in front of ten thousand microphones with a serious look on your face. Maybe even a picture of you waggling your finger at the terrorists. But they didn't show a picture of you. They showed a picture of a kid with a big squirt gun. It has been really hot out here!
But anyway, don't you wish those terrorists would get a different hobby? I sometimes think you should send a B-1 bomber over the Middle East and drop thousands of books about stamp and coin collecting. If it turned just one terrorist around -- it would be worth it! If just one of them put down their rocket launcher and picked up an old wheat-back penny (those things are fascinating!) it would possibly save a life, or at least one of our tank's lives. And those tanks are expensive -- much more than a coin book! That's just plain ol' good economics ... and like you said in the last election, "It's the economy, stupid!" So now you have no excuse.
Anyway, I'm getting a little chatty here, and forgetting my original point. My original point is that I'm out of work, and I need a job. I haven't had a decent job since the Bush administration, in fact, and we can't have that!! That just doesn't sound right. So if you are going to appoint any more people to help "stamp" out terrorist blood-spilling, I'm your man!
Regards,
Jim
